As a WWE superstar he would have access to a great makeup crew. Plus, who else could pull off half the aerials the Chinese did? My theory is that he wanted to further pi$$ off ex-WWE "Olympic Hero" Mr. USA Kurt Angle and, as Mexico did not enter a gymnastics team, covertly helped the Chinese. This is why he did not need his mask--he's had radical facial reconstruction. He's not dead--he's in Beijing!! (Makes about as much sense as the "What's in Kane's bag?" angle itself, doesn't it??)

I didn't see any Chinese gymnasts that had a giant tatoo that read Mexico across their stomach.
