  1. They lie. I know they have enough. The people in the government are greedy.

  2. right now the environmentalists are holding up a new array in Nevada because of some concerns they have on environmental impact on animals.

  3. There's a rare ingredient used to make the solar power panels making them very costly to make  i think it costs 50, 000 just to get some on your roof.

  4. well, there IS profit for the solar power companies, but the gas companies ( except BP)

don't see it as profitable enough for them.

and they defined themselves as GAS companies, not energy companies

  5. Sort of.  Until very recently, solar panels have been very expensive to produce.  Now that we have more efficient, cleaner, cheaper methods of producing the panels, the energy industry will be dumping more development money into solar and buying up producers.  Buyer uncertainty and storage issues are still obstacles, but we'll get around them.

  6. Probably not that particular reason, mostly because "solar" is not that cheap and there is no battery big enough to service a city when the day is overcast or during rain and snow storms!   No sunlight no energy production!

With solar you will still need to rely on petro energy for part of your day.  Even with "wind power" the wind does not always blow and you have to rely on fossil fuels or energy from nuclear power generators for back up.

  7. No! The reason is solar energy takes more effort to set up. But it is by all means affordable!

  8. If you are referring to the US lack of Solar...yes there is a reason, its called alternate alternative resource production.  For example...Hydrogen harvesting... lets look at it from a electric pov. The two main harvesting production processes require electricity, natural gas and water. To which they both require large amounts of electricity...about 20 percent of over all power production, quite a bit on the scale of things. ANDDDDDDDD The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 requires all IOU power companies to have 20 percent alternative produced electricity...fastest way to create that ...wind farms...

Now you have to ask the important questions...hydrogen production plants....you'll need more...delivery system...there is none so you will need to build one...can you tie into the existing power infrastructure?....NO....the current infrastructure does not support the minimum requirements for hydrogen deliverable energy...insulation loss, heat loss, equipment heat loss and power, resistance, and induction would be the issues with the current lines and infrastructure when delivering hydrogen...HOWEVER THIS IS ALREADY AN ISSUE WITH CURRENT ELECTRICAL ENERGY DELIVERY AND PRODUCTION....so they would need to build and entirely new infrastructure just to get that power to your door. Not to mention hydrogen would only be 80 percent effective when harvested and by the time it got you your home it would be only 25 percent efficient even with the improvements.  Of course we would want something more efficient and would invest in improvements with hydrogen technology as it is clean and  can produce clean water in some applications.

So where is the profit to be made...raising your cost in electrical, natural gas and service fees in order to fund the building of all the things needed for this new technology.

Solar....you build an array...plug it into a local station....thats it!!!!!
