  1. What an ugly, untrue accusation - shame on you.  You're capable of much better feminist insults.

ETA:  I watched a piece on TV that much of the violence in Darfur is sexual violence directed towards women and girls.  These accounts aren't specious - they're facts.  A people can be devastated, dominated and degraded, by killing the men and raping the women of all ages.  The sexual violence in India is of the same kind - punishment meant to degrade and dominate.

The statutory rape directed at boys by adult women they know is not intended to degrade them.  These women should be punished as the sexual offenders they are.  IT'S NOT FEMINIST REVENGE.

  2. Feminism does not have tools to dominate and degrade boys and men.

And there have always been some of these cases- it is just that they were not acknowledged.    Relationships between teenagers were thought normal.     Now older teens (18-19) of both sexes are unfairly prosecuted.

  3. I don't see a connection with feminism and statutory rapists, although I also don't see feminists exactly jumping over each other trying to protest the light sentences that they typically receive in court either.  But calling it a tool of feminism is a little ridiculous, although I know why you asked this question is because of the one right below this one.

Why are female rape victims always singled out though to say that rape is so terrible?

  4. Good question...there are more stories, I think because women/girls are being taught (via the media/other)

that they are better/superior, that they are acting out their anger against boys/men.

This will continue and in many Yahoo groups (as well as here) many girls talk about the "delights" of kicking a boy in the balls.  Can feminists stem the tide of violence against boys?

  5. No.  It is just an age-old issue that finally is being treated with equal respect instead of bemusement, or out and out laughter.

  6. what? I havent heard any...about 1 case per decadeof female on male stautory rape...its sad the "cultural feminism" i.e. the way that feminism is taken by the media DOES tend to degrade men, and if I was a man I would feel really bad about that, to see that so often in the media thy are portrayed as the "bad guys"...but feminsim is just the belief that men and women are equal...all that other stuff about equal being "exactly the same" is rubbish...it just means that women and men should be equally valued and not in competition with eachother....there is nothing a hate more than when the sexes try and prove whos "better"....whats the point? feminsim is dead anyway....where I live, most girls and at my uni, thought it was outdated and unfair.

I think cultural feminism is unfair, but the belief that both sexes deserve respect from eachother will never be outdated in my eyes.

  7. How can going through the trauma of going to the police, the medical examination and the subsequent court case where their previous sexual history, integrity and decency is held up to interrogation be suspected of being generally used to degrade men.

Many women who go through this say that the process is worse than the rape.  Anyone who knows anyone who has been raped would never suggest this.

There are cases where women have made false allegations and this is a terrible thing to do but to suggest that any normal woman would put herself through this to get one over on a man because she is a feminist is daft.

More women are reporting it when they are raped as they now believe their is more chance of getting justice in today's society.

  8. dunno but rape leaves you broken and frozen inside. an attractive [speaker at church gave a good scripture from the bible from Collosions 2 verse 2.

"Not many of you have met me face to face

but that doesn't make any difference

know that I am on your side right along side you

    drawn together in love

you are not in this alone."

  9. No its about greedy women who can not get a grown adult on child support, so they approach boys, go to prison for 9 months and collect from the state, which in return gets the money back from the victim.

  10. @CC: "the horrors female rape victims suffer" have absolutely nothing to do with the validity and appropriateness of this question. Recognizing evil female behavior does not deny the horror of evil male behavior. It speaks volumes about you that you would try to shame someone for asking a perfectly reasonable question.

@Baba Yaga: "The statutory rape directed at boys by adult women they know is not intended to degrade them. These women should be punished as the sexual offenders they are. IT'S NOT FEMINIST REVENGE."

And how could you possibly know this? How do you know that these women are not, at some level, enjoying the degrading of these boys? Answer: You don't, and you are speculating.

  11. Obviously not, since the actual incidences of this have not increased, just the media stories, whereas there is an actual increase in violence against women in India.

And since the media is still run largely by MEN, one must wonder what the real impetus is.

And you are using the suffering of those statutory rape victims as nothing more than an insult to feminists. THAT is degrading to those boys. You are probably the kind to laugh about it with your buddies and say how you wish that teachers were like that when you were in school. You're disgusting.

  12. ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!!!
