  1. haha, I think Michigan's been having thunderstorms since pre-historic times

    don't worry

  2. These storms as bad as they were, are nothing compared to what we used to get in the 1970's.  So no, the natural cycle of global warming and cooling of the Earth goes on.

  3. Global warming cannot cause a thunderstorm to happen. It CAN make the frequency, and rainfall amounts increase. Overall, the totally bizarre weather happening worldwide, can certainly be attributed to climate change. Instability in the weather is one of the predicted consequences of global warming. The ever widening parameters of  severe weather records is frightening proof that change is happening. Keep your eyes on the sky!  Things are happening very fast now!

  4. It in neither the result nor the cause of global warming.  It is only weather.

  5. sure is.... the sun heats the atmosphere, and the sun is the source of all global warming.

  6. You can't blame any single weather event on Global Warming.  It is more a statement about climate than about weather.  It's possible that in the future events like the recent spate of thunderstorms may be more (or less) likely, but climate models are just getting to the point where they can tell such things.

  7. probably not, but definitely maybe.

  8. No!!! It's a result of a warm air mass and a cold air mass colliding. And if you look at the weather maps of the entire United States you will notice that there's a large Warm AIr mass just to the South of us (I live in Minnesota) and the North is covered by a large cold air mass.

  9. No
