  1. Sure, why not everthing else is.

  2. You are confusing seasonal weather with global warming.

The fact that you had a cold winter means absolutely nothing to climate change by itself.

However, climate change models do actually predict that weather extremes will become more common with global warming.

  3. No...there is no global warming...

  4. Jenny says YES

ha ha ha ha ha ha

Tax the people of michigan then spend the money on "GREEN" projects.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!

  5. No.

  6. Your question is based in ignorance.

One year or winter is far too short a time span to be relevant to the discussion of global long term climate change.   The ignorance must be contagious, because that question or a variation  is asked about 20 times a day here.

    Skeptic argument:

"It was way colder than normal today in Wagga Wagga, proof that there is no global warming."

Does this even deserve an answer? If we must ...

    Answer:

"The chaotic nature of weather means that no conclusion about climate can ever be drawn from a single data point, hot or cold. The temperature of one place at one time is just weather, and says nothing about climate, much less climate change, much less global climate change."

  7. No, that would be La Nina.  You usually will see more snow during La Nina years.  Global Warming is responsible for the rising temperatures.  Although this winter was the coolest in a decade, it was one of the warmest in the last century.

  8. No, the record snow fall in Michigan was due to the Global Chilling in spite of the hot air in the Washington D.C. area.  Chill out, I am just jesting.

One season is too short to establish a trend.  This is why the jury is still out whether or not there is global warming and, if so, whether it is due to human activity.  However, human activity does generate carbon dioxide which can make the earth temperature warmer.  Average temperture is warmer since 1900; although it is not significantly warmer, it is indicative that humankind may be having an impact but there is no absolute proof and certainly not to the magnitude of what Al "Chicken Little" Gore makes it out to be in his movie, "The Inconvenient Truth".

That being said, keep in mind that in the history of earth, there has been variations in temperatures (we once had an ice age) without effect of humankind.  Other factors were volcano eruptions (warming effect) and meteorites (cooling effect).

  9. Yes

    we gonna die

  10. Yes.  The evil, monstrous capitalist wizards cast their spells on the earth and make it cold sometimes to fool people into thinking the pollution they make doesn't cause global warming.

But we are too smart to fall for that, aren't we?  We know that they are greedy, war-mongering, running-dog capitalists just as they always have been.  They are responsible for all the evil in this world and we are going to prove it if that is the last thing we ever do.

They must pay for their exploitation of the working classes.  They must suffer for spoiling our world and everything in it.  We must tear them down, no matter what it takes.  Who cares whether global warming is actually true or not?  Our cause is far more important than that.  Capitalism must die!
