  1. You are confusing climate and weather. This is like confusing fire and water. I suggest you avoid science discussion, you're just embarrassing yourself.

  2. No.  Local weather is just local weather.

    How noticeable would one degree of warming that took place over the past 100 years be against normal weather fluctuations?  Not very noticeable.

    Global warming does not somehow magically eliminate weather fluctuations, either up or down.

  3. This must be about the hundredth stupid question that asks the same dumb questions.  It's intent is to fool the naive into thinking the weather this winter where you live has anything to do with global warming.

    These questions usually go something like;

    "It's cold at my house this morning, does that mean global warming isn't real"?

    It's a global phenomena not a Minnestota phenomena.  Maybe this could be a cold winter in the smaller cycles of winters withing the larger warming trend.  Anyone with any sense can see that.  Winters are different from year to year all the time. Everyone knows that.

  4. There are no contradictions in science.  Cold doesn't prove it's getting warmer.

    We're having record cold and snow, so is Asia, the middle east, and Europe.  6 months ago, there was record cold in south America.

    Last summer we were told that global warming would cause Duluth would be 95 degs in the dead of winter, and we would never see snow again.  Now we're being told that we're just having a normal winter.

    Cracks are forming in the religion of global warming.  They forgot to include the Sun's contribution.  Now the Sun is cooling, and so in the Earth.  Global warming is over.  Enjoy the warmth while it's here.

  5. It seems to me that energy is required to make the weather one way or the other. It is very important to understand how energy flows in order to understand why its cold or warm. We all know the orbit of Earth effects the weather but no one knows how the energy that makes snow moves around the planet. Its a mystery but at least some part of the energy flux is coming from the interior of Earth and that energy flows to the beat of a different drummer. It is not even known at this time that energy from within the Earth effects the weather but my research indicates this is a fact. The ice age cycle is in fact governed by how energy flows within the Earth rather than whatever the orbit of Earth does as is now believed by science.

  6. No, it's called Winter and it happens every year when the earth's tilt causes the sun to shine in the northern hemisphere for only a short time each day.
