It was 6 in a row. He is currently tied with Borg for 5 in a row. Sampras has the most Wimbledon titles with 7 but he only won 4 of those consecutively.

Roger Federer was going for 6 consecutive Wimbledon tournaments in a row, set by William Renshaw back in the 1880's, however Rafael Nadal stopped him from doing so.

The next Wimbledon record that Roger Federer will go after now is the record fo most Wimbledon tournaments alltogether, which is 7 in total set by Pete Sampras.
