  1. I am going to be staying at that hotel in July, but i've been doing a lot of research and I know that most of the clubs are within walking distance. The clubs that are a little further away are like a 6 cent bus ride. I've been to Cancun twice and the bus is definitly the better way to go because the cabs try and rip you off. If you go to expedia.com or orbitz you can read people's reviews of the RIU hotels and I think some mentioned that there were some kids, but the hotel is geared more towards adults. Have a great time on your honeymoon.

  2. The RPLA is a fantastic resort. We will be there May 8th-15th. This will be our 4th or 5th time back at the resort.

  3. Great location. The hotel is located at the top of the hotel zone. Cancun hotel zone is shaped like a 7. You can also go to the sister hotel next door Riu Cancun. The guests staying at Riu Cancun can't go to your hotel.

Riu las Americas has appeal to mostly singles and couples so this will be perfect for your honeymoon.

If you need to take a bus, the cost is 65 cents. Bring dollar bills for bus, small purchases and tips. Even though your resort is all-inclusive, a couple of dollars here and there will get you extra excellent service. The ATM disperse pesos and the bills are not small, that's why I suggest you bring plenty of 1 dollar and 5 dollar bills. We usually bring about $100 dollars in small bills. If you don't use them, bring them home for the next trip.
