  1. This is the genealogy section.  We research dead people here.  Are you sure this is where you want your question?

  2. The Ruby is an aluminum oxide (Al 2 O3). The ruby belongs to the gemstone family of corundum. The most pure form of corundum is colourless, but presence of trace elements adds colour to a corundum gem. The cause of colour in ruby is chromium. “Ruby” is derived for a Latin word Ruber, which means red. However, the word “corundum” is derived from Hindu words Kurand or Kuruvinda.

  3. It's up to you if you want a natural or lab-created ruby. It's a matter of budget.

  4. DO YOU MEAN IS IT MINED OUT OF THE EARTH OR LAB CREATED ?--------- BOTH ----THE LAB GROWN ARE CLEANER AND LARGER AND CHEAPER , WHILE THE PERFECT MINED ONES ARE EXTREMELY RARE AND CAN GO FOR AS HIGH AS $ 35,000 PER CARAT . A PERFECT RUBY IS MANY TIMES MORE EXPENSIVE THAN A DIAMOND .

  5. Like Joyce B already pointed out, you have posted your question in the wrong forum, and in doing so you have breached the yahoo community guidelines.
