Is the rumor of a 2nd stimulus check true?

I keep hearing about this from freinds, but is it true? Where can I get more info? What do you know about it?

  2. Not true as far as I know...  

    There are some people who did not get their full rebate because they or their software forgot to check a box.  The IRS will be sending them a second check.

    If you did not qualify for the rebate in 2007 or if you did not get the full $600, then you may be able to qualify for a credit on your 2008 tax return.

There has been some discussion of this in Congress.  IT may happen next year, but would require a new law.  Under current law, there won't be a 2nd check for the vast majority of taxpayers, although people entitled to a rebate who got no rebate or less than they should have received will get one next year.

  5. There is talk of it but the first check did not stimulate the economy as much as they wanted so they will wait if do it at all.

  6. Some of the Government is talking about it, nothing confirmed yet though. It would be great to get a second one though. Some talk has been that it would only help those on food stamps and such, but I'll believe it when it finally gets passed. Oh by the way, Bush might veto the plan though. Got to keep listening to the news to find out more info.
