  1. The "running head," if your book or paper has one, is repeated throughout, thus, it appears on ALL pages. "Infoplease" defines it as "a descriptive word, phrase, title, or the like, usually repeated at the top of each page of a book or periodical," therefore, the answer is that it appears on all pages, not just the title page. However, the term is somewhat outdated in today's schools because we usually just call it the "header" in MS Word.
