  1. Children with special needs in PA are served by either their home school district or the county's Intermedite Unit. This depends on the specific needs of the child and availability of services offered in the local school. Bucks County is a nice place to live - espeically areas of Lower Bucks. The Bucks County IU may help with any questions about education for children with special needs. The website is http://www.bucksiu.org . Give them a call :)

  2. Yes, Pa. works hard with these children. Above and beyond!

  3. hi i feel that pa is a good school system for special needs children i currently have a special needs daughter who has landau kleffner syndrome. We live in the western wayne school district in lake ariel and we are part of the consortium our children can go to wallenpaupack, western wayne or wayne highlands depending on the classroom.. My daughter is currently in the multi handicapped room at wallenpaupack and they are doing wonders with her the special education team for both western wayne and wallenpaupack are awesome and i would recommend them to anyone. i wouldn't have chosen a different state or school district for her they are the best here and they want the best for your child hope that helps it is a first hand experience by me good luck nickole
