Is the secrets of skateboarding book good or not?

i just wanted to know because I'm about to start skateboarding and i want to know if it really brings good results especially since its on sale for $27. so whoever has really bought it from secretsofskateboarding.com (the website) please tell me if it brings good result because this book would great since im a beginner

Skaters dont read and readers dont skate...

A book wont help you skate bro, just go with a few friends and pick it up from them...thats what i did it worked good.

I'll tell you one very important thing. You don't need a book to learn or help you with skating! Just skate the way you skate and just practice and have fun with it. No need for books telling you how to skateboard! That's just lame. If you need to know more about skating or need help with some tricks just ask friends or watch some video's or something.

Don't waste your money on that book. Skating is something you learn by observation and trial and error. The book will tells you basics.You can find all that stuff on youtube and Yahoo Answers.  Just buy a good board. only get a expensive one if youre willing to be dedicated. you should be more concerned about what kind of deck,trucks, bearings, and wheels ur gonna buy.
