Is the serial code for the sims 2 expanison packs really needed?

I had all the sims 2 games on my computer but a virus had wipe out all everything that I had including the sims 2 games. I had Bon voyage,Nightlife,university,pets,season, open for business, holiday stuff,family stuff,teen style stuff and,H&M stuff which has been completely wipe out by the virus. I am missing three serial codes for nightlife,university,teen style stuff. is there way I could install them without it? I really need help. is there anything you can help me?

  1. if you registered your games, go to EA.com and log in.  All your codes will be listed in the "games I own" section.

    As to the person who suggested you go to the store and copy down the serial codes, WHAT?!?  the codes are inside the game box, on the back of the manual.  You would have to break the security tape and the shrink wrap to even open the boxes.  Are you really suggesting that people go to stores and trash the merchandise?


  2. Yes, you do need the serial codes to install the games.

    If they were lost (and you still have the proof of purchase or something), you can try begging EA to re-issue you one. They will probably tell you to buy a new copy however.

  3. ok go to the store bring a piece of paper and copy wat the serial number says for all 3 games then leave the store and reinstall the games.see if it works it should.

  4. Serial codes are required.

    You can mail your disc and $10 to EA, and they will get you the code off the disc.  Other codes won't work.
