Is the shoulder roll difficult to master?

  1. No. Not when you've been practicing the shoulder roll for hours during sparring. It comes naturally once you get the pace and consistency of shoulder rolling.


  2. Yes it is difficult.  You need very good reflexes which is why it is not taught.  Toney and Mayweather are great at it but they are great athletes.  Just think if don't pull it off they have a free shot at the top of your head.

  3. Yes anything is difficult to master the shoulder roll is harder than it looks. FLoyd and Toney are probably the best at it that i have ever seen and it takes alot to get good at it so i wouldnt limit myself to using just that defence blocks bobing and weaving work just as good. Just like their are pros that have it mastered their guys who suck at it Aturo Gatti is the only one that i can remember right now Oscar isnt that good at it either

  4. yes it is. you need to have incredible speed. this is not to say it is impossible for you to learn but better to learn more basic blocks first and then work your way up to advanced moves like this
