Is the show "Doubt, a parable" by john patrick shanely a good show for a Highschool?

my brother who is a senior is given the opportunity to direct a show for the fall play. i have read the play several times and find the show to be amazing, what do you think. is it to mature for high school?

  1. i think it may be. while a great show, i feel like the content would be lost on a large percentage of a high school population. maybe i'm selling the group too short, but i've performed many times for highschool audiences, and while there are good ones out there, the group mentality of HS is largely immature.  


  2. There's no way your school will approve it.  It's about a priest accused of molesting grammar school students.

    But it is a great show.

  3. I very much doubt that you'll find actors with the ability to do the play justice at high school.  It is a phenomenol play, but puts huge demands on its actors.  Plus the subject material may not be approved by teachers as it would be fairly controversial for a school.
