I know that there are many sites out there for people who want to be extras in movies etc. but talent6.com/i/landing/7096 seems like it may be legit.

They are, but they are not agents and they do not get you any work, they only give you access to info or post your pics and resume.  All such sites are worthless.  YOu have to become an actor the hard way, by acting, taking classes and more and more of those until you have a strong resume.
