Is the solution to springtail infestation: moving?

Question

My house is infested with tiny springtail bugs. We had an exterminator down 3 times with no succcess. I am thourouly disgusted with them all over my house walls, and in the basement carpets.

Is it just a bad season, or should we seriously consider just leaving the house?

Will we have the same problem wherever we go due to the heat wave?

How long do they last for? They've been in my house for at least 2 months already.

I didn't know what they were, so I did a search. Do you have houseplants? This sights seem to link Springtail bugs with plants. And the infestation caused by overwatering plants. But, it also says it is a cosmetic problem, easily solved. Check the link.
