Gosh better be Wisconsin proud!!! Have they started on cow tipping and bowling yet?? Not everyone one here is a Favre fan (lol..only 200 people there to greet him at the airport..I chuckled all night!!) This is ridiculous when you have so many athletes doing so much and they get no notice at all...

And is there a problem with that? For once WI is recognized for something other than being hicks or a bunch of farmers. Bravo to our accomplishments! There is nothing wrong with it, just like other states that got to wallow in their glory at times, now is WISCONSIN'S time that's all.

lol i live in australia and even i know that boston isn't a state. there is a lot happening in wisconsin, especially with the brett favre thing. but in recent times sporting teams in massachusetts have been much more successful.

I'll personally just be happy when Brett Favre really does retire. I respect the guy a lot, I'm just tired of hearing about him on every sports channel every off season.

It's definitely been one of the biggest sports states lately, but I think that Boston just beats it out.

I'm not really used to having Wisconsin get attention, but it's become a sports powerhouse over the past few years.

Yes though, it is getting more attention lately than any other state as far as sports.

i don't think its a popularity thing but if you look at it that way then wisconsin is definitely the leading contributor of sports stories right now, but im pretty sure no ones even thinking of all these things being in wisconsin besides the sports fans of wisconsin

I turned on SportsCenter today, and the first thing that came up was Prince vs. Parra.  Whenever I watch the news its all about Brett Favre and the Brewers.  Although I do live in Wisconsin, so I guess theres more of it in the news here.
