I can't say if it was ever officially banned, but Stephen King did have his publisher stop printing copies of the story due to a couple of high-school shootings which took place in the States during the 90's. As far as I know, it's not been printed in the states since.



Apparently 'The Bachman Books' is still available in other countries and I'm sure one could dig up a used copy here with little difficulty.
