There's the obvious 80's revival, some 90's grunge and hip hop, 60's bohemien, and 70's disco.... all mixed up into one. But where's the original 2000's look? When I look back on the style of the 2000's, it seems there's no real style at all, just recycled styles of the past.

It kind of reminds me of the book "Feed" where the people in the future were becoming nostalgic for fashiosn that were closer and closer to the present time, until they became nostalgic for the time they were actually living in and their brains froze.

  1. I think you have a point and are getting to something.

  2. The style of 2000's is a mix of pretty much everything!

Everyone is more individual now, you can have four people walking down the street, each wearing styles from the 70's, 80's and 90's ect, sometimes all at once! No-one is all wearing 70's clothing or any particular style, that's what makes it the style of today, the fact that there isn't really a particular style, people wear what they feel comfortable in, not what everyone else wears.

Some of today's clothes are different, we have updates of past styles, and we have asymmetric style clothes, which aren't a particular style from a past decade.

So whilst the 2000's are a mix, that's essentially what makes it the style of the 2000's
