  1. of course

  2. yah, but the best spots (with the largest waves) are usually taken by locals. the best thing tho is that there are plenty of space on the beach, so you can have privacy and to appreciate mother nature.

  3. Scrub it, KOOK!!!

  4. As a surfer on Kauai, I can tell you that it is no different than any of the other islands during summer with the exception of Oahu that has many more surf spots.  It is the south shore of Kauai, like all the other islands, that has the summer swells.  Unfortunately, summer is when the kids are out of school and the south swells don't break as often as in the winter season, so don't expect to be surfing quality type waves with uncrowded conditions on a random basis.  Time your travel to Kauai with an incoming swell, otherwise you may be frustrated by small waves and crowds.

  5. ANYTIME is a good time to surf in Hawaii.

Hawaii is unique because since the islands are round they can pick up swells from all-directions, all-year-round.

Summertime for Hawaii is wintertime in the southern hemisphere so the swells will be coming from the south so be sure you go to south-facing beaches like Poipu, Kauai.

It will be hot and the sun will be super-intense so be sure you bring plenty of good quality sunscreen and wear a rash guard.

If you can't find any rash guards where you live, here are a couple of place I shop for them online:

    http://www.buy-rash-guards.com

    http://www.beachtrading.com/rash-guards....

Have fun, hope you score some waves and remember to respect the locals!

  6. hawaii is good all year long

  7. The southside of the island is the only place you'll find surf there in the summer. Spots like "Acid Drop" are fun then. Good luck.
