  1. No.  Eventually most students notice the similarity between the Bohr model of the atom and the solar system.  Real atoms do not look like the Bohr model.  The model is easy to understand and is useful for understanding chemistry.  But there is no relationship.  From Personal experience I can tell you that the leaves of a certain plant, when burned and inhaled, will make observations like yours sound very, very  profound.  Smoking these leaves is BAD.

  2. No, this is not a good analogy.  The atom structure is very different from the strcuture of the solar system.  The same about molecules and galaxies.

In the large scale universe. gravity is the predominant force that holds everything in place and governs the motion of celestial bodies.  On a molecular scale, many other physical forces play different roles, and the gravity is fairly insignificant.  The physical laws that govern the behavior of electrons, atoms, and molecules are very different from the laws of motion that apply to the macro universe.

  3. Many have noticed that the models seem to be the same.  I understand that on the atomic level the structure of the atom is not unlike the structure of a solar system.  The orbit of the electrons can be a vast distance from the nucleus when measured, and considering their size, on the sub atomic scale.  Of course this always leads to wondering if our entire universe may exist on the head of a pin in another much larger universe and where does it all end?
