The teen club on the Monarch provides a lot of activities for the teenagers but it depends on the kid as to whether they will do them.

When we took the cruise on the Monarch we had our teenage daughter with us.  She rotated between going to the club and running around the ship with her pack.  Yes, I said pack, as in a pack of animals.  It was actually fun to watch because her and one other girl had 4 guys following them and doing whatever they wanted them to do.  If they wanted a soda, one of the boys fetched it for them.  They wanted to dance, well they danced with each other most of the time because the boys didnt want to look like idiots.  LOL

The thing is they had a lot of fun and made a lot of their own fun.

Since teenagers are involved you might want to bring some walkie-talkies with you.  It makes communicating with family easier and they work most of the time.  The only problem we had was when we were in our cabin and the kids were on deck, we were on the bottom of the ship and it seemed to have problems getting through, but we had 2-mile range walkie talkies, the new 5 & 10 mile range ones will do much better.  The ship does limit you to the 10 mile range walkie talkies though, so if you were to bring the 16 or 18 mile ones they might not let you bring them on board.
