Normally I don't have much time for the French, what with air traffic controller strikes during last year's holiday season, but I fear we are about to be more of the same kind of protests in the coming weeks. Since Govts rarely listen to the electorate, what chance have the French fishermen etc got of affecting fuel prices?

  1. They'll be wasting their time.Stockmarket speculation and a severe lack of refinineries wont be effected by any strike.

  2. If everyone in this country took a leaf out of the French fisherman's stance the Government would have to reduce the taxation on fuel. If the rest of France come out and support the fishermen something will be done.

I say we should all be supporting them at least the French don't sit back and moan.Canada is paying $4.00 a gallon for fuel equivalent to about £2.00 we are paying £1.07 a littre

Good Luck to them, I for one hope they're successful
