So I'm moving to Fort Worth in August for Law School, and with gas prices as high as they are (and the added blow that my Nissan Frontier barely gets 20mpg and costs a small FORTUNE to fill up now), I've been considering using my old Mongoose cross trainer bicycle as an alternative to driving to and from campus. The apartments I'm looking at are close enough that I could successfully do it, and I'm wondering about the actual plausibility now. I'm not in the GREATEST shape, but given some practice and the time between now and the move I can get in the shape I need to be in to do the daily ride.
My question is thus: is the terrain flat enough that I could conceivably DO this kind of commute, without a whole lot of toiling and sweating up hills? It wouldn't be good to walk into class with sweat pouring down my back and ruining my good suit or dress shirt :\
