Is the thanksgiving weekend a good time to visit canada?

How is the weather in Canada during that time? Also which are the best places to visit Canada in a period of five days?

you'd be frozen if you go to Toronto and you'd probably see nothing but whiteness from the top of CN Tower. The situation in Vancouver is better though, just don't forget to bring your umbrella and raincoat.

Which thanksgiving?  Canada's is in October, the U.S. celebrates in November.

It will depend on which part of Canada you want to go to.  Clarify your question and I'm sure you'll get better answers.

Seeing as you are talking late November, you will find Toronto starting to get very chilly by that time of year.  Not likely snow yet but still temperatures that you will likely need to dress warmly and it might not be too comfortable walking around.

Vancouver has way more moderate temps so in late November you could possibly get by with light jackets/raincoat and an umbrella. Vancouver is your better choice weather-wise in November.

Neither city, although both hughly populated themselves, will have an overabundance of tourists at that time of year, as it is off-season.

Early November, the weather might not be so good. Probably cold, maybe snow or rain and wind. Pick a place where you can find things to do inside in case the weather's lousy. It won't be busy anywhere since it's off-season.
