  1. Any ball is a good ball for the average golfer. You don't have to spend a fortune,. They are available at Wal-Mart, Big K, d**k's, Sports Authority and local sporting goods stores. The better buys are from the local " Ball Hawk ". Every course has at least one.

  2. well it depends on how u hit the ball but yes it is a good ball

  3. Yes. It is  not bad.

  4. Yes. I used it and not bad

  5. I like the Top Flite Gamer; I won my company outing with it!

It doesn’t spin much off the driver and produces a nice boring trajectory. It is mannered around the greens, it doesn’t spin much, and produces a nice high flop shot. So, yes it’s a good ball for the average golfer, and probably a better golfer (10 handicap).

I have to take some exception to the guy that said golf balls don’t matter; they do, even for average golfers. My suggestion is this; try to play a consistent ball. If you want to play ProVs great, get the feel of them and how they react on the green and off the club face, if you like Top Flite Distance balls, fine, get used to them and the way they feel and react on a green. Try not to switch back and forth they will feel and react very differently!

    Good luck!

  6. The general rule about golf balls: unless you are a pro, a ball is a ball.

The average golfer cannot take full advantage of a pro ball, because they are do not have perfect strikes, the power, and the clubs to do so. A study done on my local news showed that if a person was hitting a brand new Top Flite ball, and then a Nike ONE ball, they hit it the same distance, same bounce, same roll, just a different feel. There were no improvements to the game whatsoever. I can't remember all of the details, and this is by no way my field of expertise, but I do know this much.

In the end, I go for the cheapest name brand balls I can find. Until you get good enough that you rarely lose a ball, why pay the extra money?

In my mind's eye, why pay more money for "Pro" golf balls? In the end, a lost ball is a lost ball, the only difference is the price you paid.

So to answer your question, yes. But still, look around for the cheapest name brand balls you can find. Personally, I don't like paying more than a dollar a ball. I usually can find a 24 pack of Top Flite XL's for 20 bucks, right beside a 24 pack of Callaway's for 36 dollars.

    Hope this helps.

  7. While I personally do not like top flite...its a ball for the average golfer yes
