  1. Everything about someone will be coming up! They can find out that she was married!  Soo... Dont hide anything!  Tell them the truth cause if you lie and they find out.. good luck kissing their A5s to get them to believe you again!

  2. Marital status of an applicant cannot be checked by the consul but they could investigate even after the interview.

  3. The requirements have change fot the interview at the US Embassy in Manila, your friend will now have to bring a NSO Cenomar to her interview to prove that she is not married.

  4. if you friend lied on her application ? she may get into bigger problems that she realizes,

    After 9/11/2001, the USCIS (formerly the INS), began to increase the volume and scope of background checks, mainly for security purposes;

    And keep in mind that lying to a federal agent is a crime. ...

    and since she is in the Philippines ? yes they will check and yes they do have access to her status .

    At some overseas posts, consular officers believe that 50 percent of all visa applications are fraudulent. In other regions, the suspected rate of fraud for specific types of applications is closer to 90 percent. Meanwhile, audits by the Inspectors General at State and Justice demonstrate the inadequacies of antifraud efforts both in consulates overseas and at INS processing centers inside the United States.
