Is the u.s embassy keep the previous application which rejected for the interview or failed?

let say i was interviewed and i did not pass,are they gonna keep my application or put on the thrush?cause the rules im gonna pay another 139$ or similar than that and and send another application.

  1. The $131 fee is an application fee, not a visa issuance fee. If you're turned down, you apply again, and pay again. It's up to you to decide if that's worthwhile to you or not. But as the others have indicated, it's all in the system now. Aside from the application, your photo and your fingerprints are kept permanently as well.


  2. The Department of State (DOS) is a very successful bureaucratic machine - they will keep the original hard copy of the application, possibly also some photocopies, and of course there is the computer record of your previous application(s), accessible from any DOS terminal around the world.

  3. The information is entered into a computer data base.  It can be accessed from any US embassy or consulate in the world.  If you apply again you have to pay another $131 application fee.  This is to discourage people from filing over and over and over again.
