  1. i dont have a 100 percent positive answer for you but i think it has to do with the blood test prior to the ultrasound as well. i actually got my due date after a blood test. not ultrasoun

  2. Any time they give you a due date, it is just an estimate. It can be off up to 2 weeks either way. When you get past 37 weeks you are considered full term, but your due date is not till 40 weeks so you have a cushion of 3 weeks by the end so 5 days will not matter. Maybe the baby is just growing a little bit faster than normal :)

If it makes you feel better when I was 37 and a half weeks my daughter measured at 41 weeks (over due) by ultrasound and she was just a big baby.

  3. it's a guesstimate they take based on the size of the baby's skull.

  4. Ultrasounds normally are off by a few days. Mine all said I was a week less than what I really was, up until I hit 32 weeks pregnant, then they said I was two weeks ahead of where I really was. Don't stress too much about it. 5 days off is no biggie. Sometimes it means the ultrasound tech didn't measure accurately. You just never know. Go by the first day of your last period and just stick with that for sanity's sake. It won't be too far off. Either way, women are pregnant anywhere from 37-42 weeks. Not even an ultrasound can tell you which one of those you are....even if it could tell exact gestation. Just let yourself relax now and save your energy for all the anxiety you'll be having once you hit 36 weeks! Its nuts!
