  1. No ,

but the people believing in unicorns ARE

  2. Of course.  They are hunted for the magical powers of their horn, when ground up and served in wine.

The only way to reliably catch them is to post a luscious maiden who is ready to sleep in a woods where they are known to congregate, and since they cannot resist kissing luscious maidens when the maiden is asleep, you then shoot them with an arrow, and take the horn.

They have been fearfully over-hunted, and now are almost impossible to spot even after drinking much wine to improve the vision and put the maiden properly to sleep.

Please report any confirmed sightings to the nearest knight in armor; he will know what to do, or to your favorite Adept.

  3. i don't know may be they are real they might be shy and don't come out because they are scared to.

  7. so endangered it has never existed only a mythological fairy tale

  8. Technically, that depends on the unicorn...

The traditional unicorn, "is a legendary creature. Though the modern popular image of the unicorn is sometimes that of a horse differing only in the horn on its forehead, the traditional unicorn has a billy-goat beard, a lion's tail, and cloven hooves, which distinguish him from a horse."

"The Giant Unicorn (Elasmotherium sibiricum) ("Siberian Thin-Plate Beast") was a giant rhinoceros which stood two meters (7 feet) high and six meters (20 feet) long, with a single two-meter-long horn in the forehead. The animal may have weighed up to 5 tonnes. Its legs were longer than those of other rhinos and were designed for galloping, giving it a horse-like gait. It was probably a fast runner, in spite of its size. Its teeth were similar to those of horses, and it probably grazed low herbs."

    E. sibiricum lived in Southern Russia, Ukraine and Moldova approxiamately 1.8 million years ago during and era known as the Early Pleistocene. They disappeared approximately 1.6 Million years ago and so is extinct.

  11. Darn right. They are only seen in Ireland when the moon is blue on a Friday the thirteenth when the weather is misty, the humidity is exactly 50%, and two thousand people are gathered in Dublin with red caps on. So you can see that they are delicate critters.

  12. not unless you have managed to find a live one.

Since no live ones have been reported in over 500 years.. and none has ever been proven to exist...  they are either just mythical beasts.... or extinct.
