If the "universe" is always expanding, what do we call the "area'' it hasn't expanded to yet..is it a place, a thing, an entity at all?

Also, what do you call the border between the universe, and where it is about to expand to?

  1. The area where the universe has not touched yet has no real disignation. Until the universe spills over into it , it doesn't exsist as a place yet, it is just empty void. The universe brings with it space, time, matter and energy. All the things that make up reality. The border between the void and the universe is the edge of reality. Eventualy the universe will expand beyond its capcity to contain itself and tear itself apart at the sub atomic level and not exsist anymore.

  2. I think they call the expansion "Red Shift."  I am not sure what they call the soon to be space.  Maybe "Pre-space."

  3. Everything e.g. the stars, planets, black holes, moons are matter and the matter is seperated by a perfect vaccum called "space". As far as scientists can see there is matter and we are yet to see an area in the universe that is completely seperate of matter. When we say the universe is expanding more matter is being created therefore increasing the amount of mass in the universe however we only know that this is appening and not where the matter on the "edges" of the universe are expanding into.
