  1. I think were in a giants stomach. Although I could be wrong.

  2. its not comprehend-able

    its huge

  3. I've told you five million times - they don't exaggerate!

  4. Its kind of hard to say it isn't because the universe is as big as the universe just as a car is as big as a car and a book is as big as a book. But is the universe really big? I would say it is. Imagine this:

Okay, light is so fast that it can loop Earth 7.5 times in one second. Ok, the closest star is 4.2 light years away. Even though light can travel around the Earth 7.5 times, it takes 4.2 YEARS for light to travel from the CLOSEST star to Earth. Isn't that amazing? So yes, I would say the universe is very, very big.

Now this is the closest star, imagine the farthest star in our own galaxy... imagine the closest galaxy.... imagine the farthest galaxy.... the universe is VERY VERY BIG. Its so big that it takes the fastest moving object, light, billions of years to travel from end to end... and the universe is constantly expanding. So I would hardly call it an exaggeration.

The largest star is so big, that if we were to place an object the size of our sun.... the size of our solar system next to it, it wouldn't even be visible. That's how big that star is. And that's the largest observed star... and yet that star doesn't even occupy a small percentage of the universe. The universe is so large, that everything can fit inside it... even these huge, super massive stars.

  5. I can say with complete conviction that the universe is as big as the universe.  Course you could say that about anything.

Why that egg is as big as an egg.

  6. bigger than you will imagine

literally, wat you see isn't even all of it.  there is a certain stage where the telescopes cant even see any farther

  7. It was, but now it is even bigger.

  8. no its bigger

  9. Yes the universe is as big as the universe - how could it be anything else?

  10. Whilst exact answers are unknown, a pretty good idea exists as to the size of our universe.

I believe you may find it far more interesting to take a "journey" from the far reaches of our universe down to subatomic size.  Here is the URL:

Hope you enjoy this; I found it fascinating.

  11. There is in cosmology a situation known as the 'Horizon Problem'. It's believed that we perceive the Universe is the size we think it is only because that's as far as we can see. And we can only see as far as light has had to travel since the beginning. If the Universe underwent a period of inflation (as seems likely according to the evidence), the Cosmos may be much, much bigger than we can see. But if the Universe is 13.7 billion years old, that's as far as we can look. Any farther, and light hasn't had time to reach us. If the Universe is expanding at the speed of light (as it seems to be), then that light will never reach us. The Universe is expanding at or faster than the light from any farther away.

A very rough analogy is the fact that you can only see so far on the horizon (at the beach, say), but the world is much bigger than that.

So the Universe we can observe might be a tiny fraction of the actual Cosmos. We may never know.

  12. It's a lot bigger now than it was 10 seconds ago, and it's just getting bigger as you read this.......................

  13. You have your universes round the wrong way and missed out a couple altogether. Parallel for one. Never listen to what 'They' say.
