The lamination has come off slightly from the first page of my old indian passport. But i still have valid visas intact in the old passport.

Now is my passport considered to be damaged?(Lamination problem). The visa are intact(undamaged/not cancelled)

If no, Can i travel with the valid visa in the old passport?

  1. your old passport  became  voided  after the issuance of the new one  however  the visa  is still recognized  as valid although he passport is NOT  any immigration official  can deny you entry regardless of visa validity if you actual passport is damaged can't be scanned

  2. you need to renew your passport, they will send the old on back with the valid visa,

it depends how damaged it is? usually it is best to renew, that way you will not encounter any problems, authorities look a bit suspiciously on damaged passports,

  3. A US visa is still valid even if the passport it is in is not.  As long as the visa itself has your photograph and can be scanned, you can travel with both passports.
