Is the waitrose foundation for real?

would like to know how ethical waitrose really is, if they're as clean as they claim to be.

  1. Someone would quickly rumble them if they were telling porkies, and I haven't heard anything untoward.

    The Observer and EcoVer ran a competition to find the best ecology supermarket, but as it was done by user poll, it was heavily weighted in favour of the supermarkets with the most branches.  Sainsburys won (though they get points from me for removing Aspartame/phenylalanine from their diet drinks)

    I would opt for the Co-op.  They make fair trade a priority, and the larger ones sell many more fair trade lines than other supermarkets.  They are also up to speed on ecology lines.
