Is the war in Iraq pretty much over?

First of all, the war is about terrorism. We are not fighting Iraq.

The reason the Dems have shut up and the press is not covering anything is because things are going well. The Surge is working. Our military is doing an amazing job turning things around there. The Dems and the press are annoyed that the good news does not support their agenda, so the American people are not being given the details of how very proud they should be of our troops and our efforts there.

The Russians are fighting, but most of all they know how easily we are distracted

The war will be over when the troops come home (next year for Obama, 2107 for McCain)

The agreement they have reached is that US troops will be out of Iraq in 16 months.

Well, Iraq wants us out, we have done as they wished before, so guess we will give them what they want now!  Hope they don't expect us to come back when it all blows up on them!  We have unfinished business in Afghanistan, another useless place for our people to die for a nation that doesn't want us there!
