Question:

Is the water by Montego Bay better/cleaner than the Riviera Maya?

I've been to the Riviera Maya, but never to Montego Bay. I'm planning on going but I want to know the comparison of the water.

It is way better!!!! You can see the fish and the bottom without snorkel gear. Ive been to both and cant wait to go back to Mobay

The water is only rocky at some beaches and in very small sections. Montego Bay is awesome and the beaches are just totally wonderful. Never seen the Riviera Maya.

Yeah. Its very popular so i would think so. I love Jamacia, though. Period.

I haven't been to Riviera Maya - However I have been to Montego Bay. The water is clear as day, but only thing I didn't love is the bottom is rocky and is hard to walk on. - Hence lay on a raft!!! :)
