Is the water in Cozumel, Mexico warm in December?

I am planning on going on a cruise in December to Cozumel. Is the water warm enough for swimming? I would consisder low 80s warm enough for swimming.

You picked the perfect time !!!! June thru Sept is rainy season. Pop up thunderstorm's , heat , humidity and mosquitos are the norm. God help you if something starts brewing in the gulf.

But December - water is always warm - it's the tropics. During that month a passing cloud is a weather event.

High 80's @ night, mid 60's by day - paradise.

Cozumel is much better than Cancun so you did OK
