  1. The water in an air conditioner is the perfect breeding ground for some very dangerous bacteria. A good example is Legionnaire's Disease which was first found to be spread by the water mist from air conditioners. I think drinking this water would be a distinctly rash action.

  3. Theoretically, it should be pretty pure since it is condensed moisture from the air. The thing is, who knows what its encountered on its way to the drip point. There are lubricants and other man made stuff in there you might not want to introduce to your body. Plus, birds roost on them and could well have left calling cards down inside too.
