Is the wisdom teeth connected to your brain?

my BFFL sister said that if she pulls her wisdom tooth out that she will become retarded she said it is connected to her brain please help i dont really believe that but shes really worried about it

  1. Well, I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth out this past May and no one has told me I've dumbed down...ha ha.  Seriously, don't freakout.  She's messing with your head and is way off.


  2. Well, every tooth has a nerve, so in that sense it's connected to your brain, but the rest is baloney. Most adults have their wisdom teeth pulled, with no problem.

    It's certainly not related to intelligence or brain function in any way.

In a way, since teeth sockets have nerves, that go to the brain.  But she is just kidding you (or being unbelievably stupid) about there being any link between your physical body and your intelligence.  They're called wisdom teeth because they don't usually come-in until you are old enough to have acquired some wisdom.
