If you were to make a website and use the word anime in it, would that be copyrighted???

The word is not copyrighted since the term is just the Japanese word for animation.

No, the word anime is not copyrighted. You can't copyright a word.

Anime is a term used for animation. Most people in the West use 'Anime' to refer to animation from Japan, but Anime really just means 'Animation'  

So you can make a website and use the word 'anime' all you want.
