Meh, maybe maybe not. Our governments might always go nuts over some stupid **** and blow us all to h**l. Or we could be hit by a meteor (there's one coming very close in 2028).

One can never tell, and there's really nothing to be done about it either way, so I wouldn't worry about it.

pollution escalates at a geometric rate. imagine the breaking point is a wall, we are in a car. we started driving in the 1400s roughly. we are accelerating the faster we get the more we accelerate, like if your car had a turbo. in the 1400s the wall was really far away. in 1980 we still couldn't see it. now we see it. we have just begun to let slightly off the gas. forget moving at constant speed, really we need to be in reverse.

my guess is that especially since we are still accelerating, we will hit that wall within your lifetime, whether it be economic meltdown, worldwide revolution, huge war, or environmental meltdown. i think something is gonna give in your lifetime. almost certainly in your child's or grandchild's

20yrs ago everything was fine, 20yrs. now we are going faster faster and faster all the time, 20yrs from now... the difference will be greater than now in comparison to 20yrs ago. much much greater if things keep as they are.
