The Xbox 360 Elite is one of three Sku's of the Xbox 360 Line up. It's known as the 'Go Big" Unit by Microsoft. It is is the only Xbox 360 Unit that is Black and includes all that is needed to play out the box and for backwards compatibility all other Xbox 360 Sku's are White with the exception of the Limited Halo Edition unit which is Green and no longer manufactured but can be found in some stores..

"Go Big"The Elite Comes with the 120 gig hard drive, Black wireless controller, Hdmi cable, Component cable, Composite cable, headset, ethernet cable and audio out dongle for use when connected via Hdmi if you wish to use separate audio. Price in U.S. $499.99

"Go Pro"The Pro comes with 60 gig hard drive, white wireless controller, headset, component cables, Composite cables and ethernet cord, no Hdmi cable is included you must buy it separately if you wish to use it. Cost in U.S. $349.99

The third and final Sku is the Arcade unit and is best for Parents with Young kids that will not need backwards compatibility or need to go on to Xbox Live. It includes just the Xbox 360 unit, no hard drive, 1 wireless controller, Composite cables, 256 megabyte memory card, and a game disc with five Arcade games on it. It can be fully upgraded to be a regular Xbox 360 with any of the available Hard drives sold separate, it can out put High definition graphics with the use of HD cables sold separate also. Cost in U.S. $279.99

Other than that they are the same exact consoles eternally, all use Dvd Rom drives, and have the same internal components in them, all have Hdmi Ports, Component and Composite and VGA ports, all can use up to 4 wireless controllers, and all have 3 usb ports.

The only difference between the Elite and the new standard Pro with the new standard 60gig hard drive, is hard drive size and colour. That is it.
