Is the xbox 360 wireless networking adapter like a connection point?

the reason i ask is cuz my dsl internet is kinda slow and i sometimes lag in game and i was wondering if this adapter could help me out with faster internet on xbox live or is this adapter just used 2 transfer files from your xbox 2 your pc?

Your internet wont increase in speed. The wireless network adapter allows you to connect to the internet wirelessly to a wireless router. For internet speed you have to get a different internet service provider(ISP) something like cable internet or satellite internet is good. The fastest internet you can get is Fiber Optic. Verison's Fiber Optic internet is called FiOS, your lucky if they support it in your town.
