  1. nope ive been doing them for years. i started when i was a teen.  evening classes usually have younger people in them.

  2. a lot of older people do it because it helps their joints, not very hard and etc. Where I lifeguard I see people of all ages doing water aerobics. Us lifeguards made our boss mad and as punishment we had to do water aerobics. We felt kinda stupid but we enjoyed doing it.

Don't worry about not looking out of place. If your enjoying yourself and getting a good workout in who cares about what everyone else thinks

  3. alot of older people do it because its easier on their joints.  But i  have done them  (and i am not old). I think they are a blast and a good workout!  none of the older people are going to care that you are there as long as you are friendly and respectful.  try it...if its not for you then don't go back.

  4. One of the greatest aerobic exercises you can do is water aerobics. I am not sure about the Y near you, but at ours there is a high intensity workout class in the deep end of the pool and people of all ages participate. Believe it or not, you actually sweat. Water is great resistance. So it builds cardiac health as well as tone and define muscles.
