Is their a chariable site to go to if you need assisstant attending to a family members funeral ?

my grandmother , died in a car accident this morning, and i am on disabilty, and only get pay a little amount once a month,and my dad is in bad heath himself, no one is there to helphim for support,and funeral arriagments,and need help getting there.

I don't know about a web site per say but all airlines offer a funeral or emergency rate which is usually liek half of regular fare.  You have to call ticket agent and ask for funeral rate and they will verify with the funeral home/coroner before they give it to you.  You could also try calling your local social service agency.  They may be able to guide you to differant revenues.

In response to your question, if you need to fly to see her, you may want to see if the airline offers a berievment fare.  I know Southwest used to offer you a standby seat for 49.00 going anywhere in the continental US.  The only drawback is that you will likley have to camp out in the airport for most of the day, and possibly come back the next for an early flight...but for the price...you really cant beat it.

As for funeral arrangments, you may want to shop around for different funeral homes.  Many of them are willing to make "deals" offering less expensive alternatives.

You also may wish to reach out to different government agencies to see if there are any programs available to you.  I dont know if there are, but it never hurts to try.  Start with the social security administration or the department of health and human services.  Tell them your situation and ask if they can refer you to an agency that can help you.
