Monk parakeets live in flocks and can travel all over. They are mostly seen in Florida I believe but that is where I am from and I have heard of them in other areas.

They are very hardy birds and due to the way they work together are able to withstand more. A lot of times they will however build nest in electrical lines which is why they are considered pests and outlawed in some areas.
