my daughter wants to sleep in the backyard with eleven of her friends do u think they will be kidnapped? (we are not very wealthy) thanks for the answers (a pedophile lives about two miles away).

No, I don't think they'll be kidnapped.  They're at far greater risk of harm when you're driving them to school.

If you're really worried, put a dog out in the yard, or take turns with your spouse sitting on the front step all night.

My kids camp out in our yard all the time.  You can't live in a bubble just because of the astronomically small risk of something bad happening.

maybe you should have a parent sleep out there with them.....in this day and age....you should be concerned...especially with a pedophile living in the area.....

I don't think I could do it unless you have a privacy fence and lock all the gates.That's the only way we tent in our backyard and that's with adults out there too.

It would probably ruin the camp out to have mom camping out with you when your 12. I think I would just stay in the house where I could see them and they could get to me quickly.

I'd say the likly hood of them staying out all night is low 11 12 year olds can work them selves up pretty good with some camp fire tales.

Pitch your own pup tent near theirs and camp out with hubby close enough to keep an ear on them not close enough to cramp her style.. Throw the family dog in with them lol I think with 11 girls there is not going to be much sleeping going on anyway I think they would be ok as long as they stay in the tent and or the yard.. Have fun you are gamer than me I let my daughter have 6 of her friends sleep over they were doing makeovers at 2.00 am.
