  1. No of course not. Another stupid story someone invented. I have a bunch of active hives at the end of my property if you want to come and get some.

    ps -- you may be right. Perhaps the bees just chat on the cells now instead of visiting each other.


  2. While cell phone signals do disrupt the way in which some bees communicate, the phones have to be within a few feet of the bee or hive to have any result. The decline of bees is due to the persistence of pesticides in the environment, particularly permethrin and DDT. Yes, I know DDT has been banned for years, but its half life is several hundred years and it is still detectable everywhere in the world; even antartica.
